All new for 2026 is the Catalyst Nitro Goalie Stick, setting a new benchmark for modern goaltending. Its redesigned shaft strategically blends soft and stiff flex zones, delivering the perfect balance of control, stability, and responsiveness From stopping hard rims to making stretch asses and steering rebounds into the corners, the Catalyst Nitro gives goalies total confidence in every situation. Built for elite performance, it combines playability and precision to meet the most intense demands of today’s game.

Shaft Construction

The shaft on this stick is designed with a square shaft shape that has standard shoulders. This provides goalies with a balanced feel throughout the stick, letting the weight be distributed evenly.

The shaft also uses TRUE’s Axenic Technology. This unique manufacturing process is instrumental in crafting an ultra-resilient, one-piece design. The absence of fusion points or overlaps in construction loads to a more balanced stick, as well as an enhanced feel during play. The stick also uses a Precision Laminate Design that guarantees best in class weight/balance, performance, longevity, and durability.

Paddle Construction

Engineered into the paddle of TRUE goalie sticks, the Vibration Suppression System (VSS) absorbs impact energy and dampens vibrations for a smoother feel on every save. Whether you’re deflecting high-velocity shots or playing the puck, VSS delivers better control, comfort, and confidence in the crease.

The paddle also features INVRT flex technology. The optimized 4-point flex profile was designed to work with a goalie’s bottom hand position to enhance energy load throughout the stick when passing or shooting.

Blade Construction

The blade of the Catalyst Nitro is created with a BAT construction. The Braided Aramid Technology offers a stronger, lightweight blade with increased damping properties, ideal for playability and puck control.

Grip

The Catalyst Nitro goalie stick uses a clear gloss shaft, paddle, and blade with a textured grip on the shoulder for optimal feel and control. Along with the square shaft shape, it allows goalies to hold onto their sticks with confidence, while still remaining focused on the game.

Blade Patterns, Paddle Lengths & Colors

The TRUE Catalyst Nitro Junior Goalie Stick comes in paddle length 21” in a left hand with a T31 blade pattern. This stick is also offered in Black and Blackout.

T31 is a popular mid-curve pattern known for its balance of puck control and passing accuracy. It features a closed toe and is often described as having a lot of hook. This curve is well-suited for goalies who need to handle the puck in tight situations and make accurate passes.

Why this may differ from half your body weight: Weight ÷ 2 is an old starting rule, not a final answer. Your recommended printed flex also depends on your likely stick length, shooting style, and any trimming you plan to do. Faster-release players often benefit from a lower number; power shooters may prefer a firmer shaft.

About cutting: Cutting a stick does not change its factory flex rating. It does reduce the effective bending span and player leverage, so the stick usually feels stiffer in use. To preserve the intended feel, this calculator lowers the recommended printed flex by four points per inch trimmed.

How to use the result: Start with the suggested retail flex, then test one adjacent flex above or below it in the same model, length, curve, and lie. A flex number is a comparison tool, not a universal measurement of how every stick will feel. Come in and we'll cut and tape it for you.
