1. Condition Assessment & Pre-Existing Damage. Ice Box Hockey is not responsible for pre-existing wear, hidden material fatigue, carbon stress fractures, dry rot, cracked or degraded boot material discovered during holder removal or re-drilling, or prior improper repairs uncovered during inspection or service.

2. Blade Holder Replacement Risk. Re-drilling attachment holes and riveting a new holder onto an existing boot carries inherent risk on boots that are older, previously repaired, or have compromised outsole material -- including cracking, hole stripping, delamination, or rivet failure. You assume full financial responsibility for boot damage arising from these risks. If Ice Box Hockey identifies boot condition issues before proceeding, staff will attempt to contact you at the phone/email provided above before continuing.

3. High-Risk Service Disclaimers (if applicable services selected above). Boot Heat-Molding & Stretching: baking or stretching equipment -- especially gear older than 2 years or heavily used -- carries an inherent risk of material delamination, eyelet popping, glue failure, or seam tearing. You assume full financial responsibility for gear failure during heat services on pre-worn boots. Helmet Modifications & Safety Certifications: modifications, aftermarket hardware, or non-factory repairs may void manufacturer warranties and official safety certifications (e.g., HECC, CSA, CE) or league compliance. Ice Box Hockey does not certify modified helmets as crash-safe.

4. Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability. Ice hockey carries inherent risks of severe injury. Servicing or modifying gear does not guarantee safety or injury prevention. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Ice Box Hockey, its owners, and technicians from any claims or liability for injuries, mechanical failures, or property damage resulting from the use of serviced equipment.

5. Inspection Prior to Use & Valuables. You agree to inspect all hardware, rivets, holder attachment, steel engagement, and straps before stepping onto the ice. Ice Box Hockey is not responsible for personal items or valuables left in pockets or equipment bags during service.

6. Abandoned Property Policy. Serviced items must be collected and paid for within 60 days of completion notice. Gear left unclaimed after 60 days will be deemed abandoned and subject to storage fees, sale, donation, or disposal under local law to recover shop costs.
