The CCM Ribcor Team Hockey Stick - Intermediate is built around CCM's low-kick Ribcor profile for players who want a quick-loading release with team-level durability. The intermediate model is offered in 55 and 65 flex with P28, P29, and P90 blade-pattern options.

Key Features

Low-Kick Flex Profile: The Ribcor family is designed to load lower in the shaft to support quick-release shooting.

Carbon Matrix Shaft: Carbon layering is used to balance durability and weight.

Ergonomic Shaft Geometry: The shaft transitions in shape toward the lower portion to support control and loading.

Blade Construction: C6 carbon weave and Peel-Ply construction are used to support blade stiffness and durability.

Fit and Performance

Choose from 55 or 65 flex in left- or right-handed configurations. Available patterns in the current variant matrix are P28, P29, and P90.

Why this may differ from half your body weight: Weight ÷ 2 is an old starting rule, not a final answer. Your recommended printed flex also depends on your likely stick length, shooting style, and any trimming you plan to do. Faster-release players often benefit from a lower number; power shooters may prefer a firmer shaft.

About cutting: Cutting a stick does not change its factory flex rating. It does reduce the effective bending span and player leverage, so the stick usually feels stiffer in use. To preserve the intended feel, this calculator lowers the recommended printed flex by four points per inch trimmed.

How to use the result: Start with the suggested retail flex, then test one adjacent flex above or below it in the same model, length, curve, and lie. A flex number is a comparison tool, not a universal measurement of how every stick will feel. Come in and we'll cut and tape it for you.
