With an unwavering focus on delivering exceptional results, the Catalyst 7X3 redefines the art of shooting by seamlessly combining power and precision in a single, game-changing package. The 7X3 has been designed with a lighter construction than the previous 7X, with about 35g drop in weight (SR). It is crafted with much of their most renowned tech, in addition to some newer features, including Resflo, PLD, Axenic Technology, SRT, and an all-new foam blade core.

Shaft Construction
The shaft construction of the TRUE Catalyst 7X3 stick features a square corner/double concave geometry, offering players a comfortable grip and improved control. This innovation is complemented by advanced technologies that elevate its performance. The integration of Resflo Technology ensures minimal voids in the laminate, enhancing shaft reinforcement while reducing weight for exceptional durability. Axenic Technology's one-piece assembly enhances overall stick durability, particularly in the hosel, while granting users heightened control. Moreover, the Precision Laminate Design (PLD) strategically weaves carbon fibres throughout the stick, efficiently reinforcing it without unnecessary additional material, resulting in a harmonious blend of strength and precision.
Blade Construction
The stick's blade construction employs an all-new foam core, optimizing feel and responsiveness during puck handling and shooting. Building upon this foundation, the stick introduces the SRT (Strategically Reinforced Technology) innovation, an evolution from the TRT+ design. SRT integrates rib structures throughout the blade, reinforcing high-impact areas susceptible to puck contact. Grip

The 7X3 still keeps the Catalyst look it’s known for, with a slight holographic finish to really stand out on the ice.
Blade Patterns, Flex & Stick Length
The TRUE Catalyst 7X3 Senior stick comes in the following blade patterns: T92, T92.5, T28, and T27. TRUE has rebranded their most popular curves and given them new names, but they are all the same as we know them still.
The T92 (previously TC2) is the best blade pattern for all-around play, with a mid-curve style. It is great at handling the puck in small spaces, including face-offs. This curve may suffer a little bit on the backhand. The T92.5 (previously TC2.5) is the same but with a slightly different lie (T92 uses 6.0, whereas T92.5 uses 5.0). The T27 (previously MT1) is a max blade that combines strength in board battles with similar specs to the T92.5.
The T28 (previously TC4) is a much more aggressive stick pattern, used often by elite players. This blade curve specializes in quick and accurate shots, but it can be a bit difficult to get used to since it is also very good at raising the puck.

Why this may differ from half your body weight: Weight ÷ 2 is an old starting rule, not a final answer. Your recommended printed flex also depends on your likely stick length, shooting style, and any trimming you plan to do. Faster-release players often benefit from a lower number; power shooters may prefer a firmer shaft.
About cutting: Cutting a stick does not change its factory flex rating. It does reduce the effective bending span and player leverage, so the stick usually feels stiffer in use. To preserve the intended feel, this calculator lowers the recommended printed flex by four points per inch trimmed.
How to use the result: Start with the suggested retail flex, then test one adjacent flex above or below it in the same model, length, curve, and lie. A flex number is a comparison tool, not a universal measurement of how every stick will feel. Come in and we'll cut and tape it for you.
