Project X STORM sets a new benchmark for modern goaltending. Its redesigned shaft strategically blends soft and stiff flex zones, delivering the perfect balance of control, stability, and responsiveness.

From stopping hard rims to making stretch passes and steering rebounds into the corners, STORM gives goaltenders total confidence in every situation. Built for elite performance, it combines playability and precision to meet the most intense demands of today’s game.
With Project X STORM, the future of goaltending is in your hands.

Key Features

  • KICK PROFILE: INVRT FLEX TECH - INVRT features the most pronounced and noticeable kick point in any goalie stick on the market. The kick point is positioned approximately ¾ of the way up the paddle, with tailored stiffness transitions. From the top of the shaft into the paddle and down to the blade, INVRT transitions from stiff - flexible - stiff ensuring maximum power and control.
  • PADDLE: Two strategically placed ribs that extend throughout the paddle into the blade, are designed to provide strength and stability for better handling when passing or clearing the puck.
  • IMPROVED STRENGTH: Strategically added material to the upper part of the shaft for improved strength and balance.
  • FINISH: CLEAR GLOSS WITH GLOSSY GRIP SHOULDER - Glossy clear shaft, paddle and blade with a textured grip on the shoulder for optimal feel and control.

Core Technologies:

  • RESFLO: FOCUSED RESIN FLOW - technology minimizes voids, resulting in stronger, more consistent laminate.
  • PLD: PRECISION LAMINATE DESIGN - controls play angles to minimize interlaminar shear, which generates stronger laminates that maintain stiffness, weight, and durability over time.
  • AXENIC TECHNOLOGY: TRUE'S PATENTED, INDUSTRY-LEADING manufacturing process produces an ultra-consistent one-piece design for optimal balance, better control, and enhanced feel.
  • VSS: VIBRATION SUPPRESSION SYSTEM - is designed to absorb and disperse energy from puck impact, providing goalies with the perfect balance of feel and comfort when making stick saves.
  • BAT: BRAIDED ARAMID TECHNOLOGY - offers a stronger, lightweight blade with increased damping properties, ideal for playability and puck control.
  • ALL-NEW FOAM CORE: INNOVATIVE FOAM CORE material adds exceptional compaction to the laminate, which maximizes strength and minimizes the weight required to consistently perform and exceed durability requirements.

Why this may differ from half your body weight: Weight ÷ 2 is an old starting rule, not a final answer. Your recommended printed flex also depends on your likely stick length, shooting style, and any trimming you plan to do. Faster-release players often benefit from a lower number; power shooters may prefer a firmer shaft.

About cutting: Cutting a stick does not change its factory flex rating. It does reduce the effective bending span and player leverage, so the stick usually feels stiffer in use. To preserve the intended feel, this calculator lowers the recommended printed flex by four points per inch trimmed.

How to use the result: Start with the suggested retail flex, then test one adjacent flex above or below it in the same model, length, curve, and lie. A flex number is a comparison tool, not a universal measurement of how every stick will feel. Come in and we'll cut and tape it for you.
